If you delete an iCloud Drive file on your Mac, OS X will tell you it’s moving the file to Trash and removing it from all your other devices. If you delete on on your iPhone or iPad, iOS will tell you it’s gone forever. If you empty your Trash, leave your Mac, or confirm deletion on your iPhone or iPad, however,¬†you can still recover permanently deleted data from iCloud.

  1. Launch Safari or your web browser of choice.
  2. Go to icloud[dot]com.
  3. Enter your Apple ID (iCloud) username and password.

You can’t restore your contacts individually but you can restore from an automated periodic backup of iCloud. Restoring an older backup will remove any contacts added as the restoration process is done.

Photos and videos can be recovered from the Recently Deleted album on Mac, iPhone, or iPad, if the recently deleted folder does not appear on your device you can recover them on iCloud.com as well. The album is limited to 40 days of recently deleted photos and videos.

    Hi,
    My icloud photos have been deleted after 30d have elapsed. When I go to my icloud account there are no files availbale to restore as you indicated (as more than 30d have passed). The icloud photos page still shows a count for the the number of photos but no images are displayed.
    Please help!
