Many, Galaxy Note 5 users, are facing issues regarding Air Command as it stops showing when S Pen is detached from the device. This issue is common and can happen to any Note 5 user. Air Command not showing when S Pen pulled out:

If you are having issues with S Pen on Note 5. And Air Commands for Note 5 Edge are not working then clearing the cache can fix this issue. Note that clearing cache wont delete any data present in your Note. Follow the step to step guide below on get over the issue of Air Command not showing when S Pen pulled out.

  1. First of all, turn off your Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
  2. Once your Note 5 is turned off, press and hold Volume Up button and Home Button. After that press and hold Power key.
  3. Keep the three buttons pressed and just release the Power key when your device shows “Samsung Galaxy Note 5”. Make sure you do not release the other two buttons.
  4. As soon as you see the Android logo on your Galaxy Note 5, release the other two buttons.
  5. Now, you’ll see a notice on your Note 5 screen stating “Installing system update” for 30 to 60 seconds. After that, Android system recovery menu will be displayed.
  6. Use Volume Up and Volume Down keys to navigate through the options. Find “wipe cache partition option and press Power key to select it.
  7. Once, the cache partition is wiped out, use Volume keys to navigate to “Reboot system now” option and press Power key to restart the phone.
  8. The reboot will take some time. Wait for it to complete the reboot.

Note: Do not turn off your phone while its clearing cache. Its a system process and it can be screw up your phone pretty badly if you mess it up while its clearing cache. It will take 5 minutes to clear cache. It can take more depending upon state of your phone.

If you are still facing the problem even after wiping the cache partition then you must do factory reset.

  1. First of all, create a backup of all your important data.
  2. After creating a backup, turn off your Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
  3. Once your Note 5 is turned off, press and hold Volume Up button and Home Button. After that press and hold Power key.
  4. Keep the three buttons pressed and just release the Power key when your device shows “Samsung Galaxy Note 5”. Make sure you do not release the other two buttons.
  5. As soon as you see the Android logo on your Galaxy Note 5, release the rest of the two buttons.
  6. Now, you’ll see a notice on your Note 5 screen stating “Installing system update” for 30 to 60 seconds. After that, Android system recovery screen will be displayed.
  7. Use Volume Up and Volume Down keys to navigate through the options. Find “Yes – delete all user data” option and press Power key to select it.
  8. Once, the process is completed, use Volume keys to navigate to “Reboot system now” option and press Power key to restart the phone.
  9. The reboot will take some time. Wait for it to complete the reboot.

    I face this issue and if you also have then watch this video to fix your air command is not working issue in your Samsung galaxy note 4 or samsung galaxy note 5. this method works but not all the time so be sure you update the software with the latest marshmallow update and then follow the given steps in the video. it may be possible that you will not get success in one go so make sure to try as many time as possible and it will start working. It is for sure a software issue and some of the function are the cause to stop the functionality of Air command option in samsung galaxy note 4 or 5 or may be 7.     So, I found a solution rather than this on an android forum site. Someone mention to turn on voice talk back and use it for a few mins, then restart phone. Then once it’s back up turn off voice talkback, and in there words, voila’ it enables the floating command switch.
