Microsoft, after releasing Windows 10, has pushed many updates with a number of bug fixes and improvements. On January 27, 2016, Microsoft has released Windows 10 Cumulative update KB3124262. Windows 10 Cumulative update KB3124262 replaces previous Cumulative update KB3124263 which was released on January 12, 2016.
The Microsoft’s latest operating system came out with a lot of bugs. The number of bugs forced users to wait for update with number of bug fixes and improvements. As Microsoft brings many updates, with all the bugs and errors being fixed, now a stable release is there to download.
Microsoft releases a Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1511. This Cumulative update changes the Windows 10 build number to 10586.71. Microsoft till now, didn’t announce which changes latest build 10586.71 carries but it is obvious that it fix bugs and is assumed by the official description by Microsoft which states that
“This update includes improvements to enhance the functionality of Windows 10 Version 1511.”
Windows 10 Cumulative update KB3124262 contains all previously released fixes with the new ones. If you wish to download the update then only new fixes will be downloaded and installed if you have already installed the previous fixes. Otherwise, complete update with previous and new fixes will be downloaded and installed.

Windows 10 download and install all updates automatically when you restart your computer. Windows 10 should download and install cumulative update KB3124262 too but if you wish to update it manually then you have to go through these steps.

- If your PC is a 64-bit system then you will see the update as ‘Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3124262)’.
