In this guide, I will cover a step-by-step guide on how to root Samsung Galaxy J7 virgin mobile. I will be flashing the CF auto-root file using ODIN on your J7, which will get it embedded. Now, let’s move on to the guide:

Prerequisites:

Follow the guide below to root Samsung Galaxy J7 virgin mobile:

  1. First, download the CF Autoroot for J7 and extract it on your PC.
  2. Now, Open ODIN on your PC.
  3. Turn off your phone.
  4. When it’s off, put it in Download mode. Press the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons Simultaneously. Leave the button when you see a warning.
  5. Press the Volume Up button to continue.
  6. Now open ODIN on your PC.
  7. Connect the phone to your PC using a USB data cable once you have connected your phone to your PC. ID: COM will turn blue. It’s an indication that your phone is connected and recognised by your PC. (If ID: COM does not change colour, then make sure you have downloaded the drivers of the Samsung phone from above)
  8. Locate and click on AP or, in some ODIN versions, PDA. And choose the CF autoroot file you downloaded and extracted [CF-Auto-Root-j7ltechn-j7ltezm-smj7008.tar.md5].
  9. Make Sure only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked on the ODIN. Like in the screenshot below:Root Samsung Galaxy J7 Virgin Mobile
  10. Finally, press start. Once the Samsung Galaxy J7 is rooted successfully, your phone will reboot.

When will your phone start up after flashing? It will be rooted. You can check whether your phone is rooted by downloading the Root Checker App from the Google Play Store.

You will also find the SuperSu app on your phone. It is an indication that your phone is rooted. If your phone is rooted, but you don’t have a SuperSu file. You can download it from the Google Play Store.
