J7 stuck at Samsung Logo

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is a middle-tier smartphone. It is low in price and has moderate features and specs. The J7 model was introduced in 2015. Today, I will help you fix the Samsung Galaxy J7 that is stuck at the Samsung Logo.

There can be many reasons for Galaxy J7 getting stuck in bootloop. Mostly, it is because firmware firmware gets corrupted. The latest Galaxy J7 model was introduced in 2016. It supports a 5.5-inch display picture and a 3000 mAh battery. It runs on Android Marshmallow, and the camera has 13 megapixels. J7 series also supports external SD cards. A new version of Samsung J7 is expected sometime this year.

Fix Samsung Galaxy J7 Stuck at Samsung Logo:

Suppose your Galaxy J7 is stuck at the Samsung logo. This is because the phone does not have Firmware. You can fix it by using the flashing the Firmware using ODIN.

In this guide, I will explain how to fix the Galaxy J7 stuck at the Samsung logo or bootloop.

Note: If your Galaxy J7 gets stuck at boot after flashing new ROM/firmware, you are flashing the wrong customer Firmware.

Prerequisites:

  • Download ODIN v3.10.7 from here. (Click on download from the browser when the window appears).
  • Firmware firmware for your Galaxy J7 from SamMobile. And extract it on your PC.
    • Go to the link above
    • Enter your phone model.
    • Search for the Firmware.
    • Select Firmware that matches your country and brand (e.g., T-Mobile, Verizon, etc).
    • If your phone is unbranded, you can select any unbranded ROM.
  • Download Samsung Drivers for Windows. (The link to download the file is under the main heading.) These drivers must be installed on your PC; they are essential for your PC to recognize your device.
  • You will need a computer for this solution to fix the J7 bootloop.

Selecting the correct ROM is very important. If your phone is carrier unlocked and has no carrier branding, then you can download the ROM of any country that is not branded. To check branding, see if the carrier’s logo (like Verizon or T-Mobile) appears when rebooting your phone. If your phone is not impressed, you can flash the ROM of any country that is not carrier-specific. Make sure you don’t flash unbranded ROM on a branded phone. However, it is recommended that you find the exact same ROM as the one installed on your phone before it gets bricked. Your data won’t be deleted if you find the same ROM installed on your Galaxy J7.

Follow the below steps to firmware firmware to fix the Galaxy J7 stuck at the Samsung Logo:

  • Download ODIN on your PC.
  • Install Samsung USB drivers for Windows on your PC or laptop.
  • Now, turn off your Galaxy J7.
  • Get it into Download mode.
    • Press the Volume Down, Power button, and Home Buttons simultaneously. Keep on holding till you see a warning.
    • Press the Volume Up button to continue.
  • Now open ODIN on your Windows PC.
  • Connect your phone to your PC using a USB data cable. ID: COM will turn blue, indicating that your phone is connected and recognized by your PC. If your phone is not recognized, ensure you have installed proper Samsung drivers on your computer.
  • Click on AP or, in some ODIN versions, PDA.
  • Select the stock ROM with (.MD5 file extension) you downloaded from Sammobile.
  • Ensure Only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked in the options, like in the screenshot below.

That’s it. Click on Start and wait for 10 minutes. Now, ODIN will flash Stock ROM on your Galaxy J7. That is how to fix the Galaxy J7 stuck at the Samsung logo. Your phone will reboot on its own after the flashing.

Note: If the ROM you downloaded extracts more than one file, then follow the three additional steps below:

  • Put the BL file in the BL tab.
  • Select the CP tab and select the CP file.
  • Select the CSC tab and select the HOME_CSC file.

If the flashing is unsuccessful. Try flashing again using some other version of ODIN.
