Factory Reset
Once you are done with creating a backup of all your required data, the immediate next step should be to remove all the data from your Android device. This will help you to prevent your data from new owner of the device. Factory resetting the data will erase all the data from your device. This will include media, all installed apps, calendar, contacts, documents, music, messages and even network settings.

- Go to ‘Settings’.
- Go to ‘Backup and reset’.
- Select ‘Factory data reset’.

Remove/Format Memory Card
While selling Android device, memory card should be removed or formatted. Removing memory card will help you to use it again with a new Android device in future. If you do not want a memory card in future and want to sell it with your Android device then you should format it also. You can erase all the data from your memory card.
